Automated Sortation of Goods
Stationary robotic sortation systems close the gap between conveyor technology and shelving. The system consists of a conveyor belt, which is height-adjustably attached to a movable mast. This belt is used to pick up goods from a conveyor and later deliver this package to the correct shelf. The entire system is mounted on a rail along the back of the shelf. In addition, the robotic sortation system is equipped with various sensors, cameras and other sensing devices that provide information to the sortation delivery system about the location and identification of items.
