Wearable scanners are an alternative to conventional devices such as MDEs. It is an intelligent glove with a scanner and a scanning button on its back. This allows scans to be performed without having to hold an additional device in the hand. Back-of-hand scanners can be used in a variety of ways, from picking and sorting to shipping and receiving. Depending on the design, they can scan different types of barcodes (e.g. 1D and 2D barcodes).
