Applications and Types of Block Storage

Block storage is a storage method in which goods are stored directly behind and on top of one another without fixed aisles. It is particularly suitable for homogeneous goods with high turnover rates and sturdy packaging, such as palletized goods. Typical applications include raw material storage and production. Depending on stacking heights and types, equipment such as forklifts is used for loading and unloading. There are two types of block storage: ground block storage and rack block storage.
