Functionality of Autonomous High Reach Stackers
An autonomous high reach stacker is the self-guided version of a narrow-aisle truck. Narrow-aisle trucks are vehicles that can lift pallets to very high heights and set them down there. The name narrow-aisle truck already indicates the low space requirement of the vehicle. The main advantage over other types of forklift is that the goods are picked up from the side, which significantly reduces the amount of maneuvering required. In the case of high reach stackers, the vehicle base is formed by a basic frame containing the drive, chassis and controls. The mast consists of vertical masts and a beam to which the fork is attached. This structure makes narrow-aisle trucks ideally suited for storing and transporting goods in high racks in logistics centers.
