Unlike standard containers such as KLTs or mesh boxes, SLTs are not purchased off the shelf but are developed and tested in close collaboration between the manufacturer, logistics planner, and supplier. In the automotive industry, special load carriers are an integral part of every supply contract between OEMs and suppliers—used for transporting sensitive components such as doors, fenders, bumpers, glass panels, engines, and transmissions.
