The Kanban system for replenishment is an efficient method to optimize the material flow in production and logistics processes. Originally developed in Japan, this system is based on the principle of material cards and enables a smooth and needs-based supply of materials and components. In the Kanban system, special cards are used that show the current stock and demand for specific products or materials. Each time a product is picked, the appropriate Kanban card is passed to request replenishment.
