Determine Time Share
Sorting efforts usually occur in a defined area, such as the incoming/outgoing goods lines. Therefore, the time in the process can be approximated by longer stays in these areas.

Motion-Mining®
With Motion-Mining®, regions can be defined and the total time spent in certain areas can be determined. When sorting, employees are in the region for a longer period of time, whereas they usually only enter it briefly when loading or unloading. Therefore, the time for sorting can be determined by calculating the time in the defined region in segments over x seconds. (x depends on the process, but can be approximated, for example, as about 1 - 1.5 minutes).
If a vehicle is used, only the proportion of non-driving in the region can be used to restrict the definition.

Process Observation and Timing
In a process observation, the duration and frequency can be recorded with the help of a tally sheet or a corresponding app.

Calculate Savings Potential
The savings potential is highly dependent on the selected measure. Depending on the measure, the entire sorting process or only parts of the activity can be reduced.

RoI Calculation
For the RoI calculation, the savings potential per day and person is extrapolated to the number of employees and working days per year. This is compared with the costs of the measure.
