The CROSSORTER provides a highly flexible solution for handling mixed product streams, from very small packages (e.g. flyers as thin as 1 mm and shrink-wrapped products) to large pieces (up to 1,500 x 800 mm), including unusually shaped packages and totes. The high speed of 3 m/s and lateral product orientation allow a maximum capacity of up to 18,000 carrying elements per hour. The state-of-the-art flow control system optimally distributes flows across the various infeed and discharge stations, minimizing circulation and thus further increasing operating capacity. High availability is of great importance for continuous realization of the required productivity levels. By using robust, durable components and modern technology with built-in diagnostic systems, the CROSSORTER has an availability of 99.9%. If interventions are necessary, important system parts can be easily replaced within five minutes.
