1. Briefly discribe your company and product.

leoquantum GmbH has set out to redefine supply chain management. In an increasingly complex world, we want to simplify logistics processes and working methods for companies and people and create better and crisis-proof logistics through networking and collaboration.
With myleo / dsc, our cloud solution for location and transport logistics, we are digitizing operational logistics processes and connecting manufacturers, suppliers, logistics service providers and goods recipients. "Dsc" stands for Digital Supply Chain. Our customers have access to individual process solutions for inbound logistics, slot, dock & yard and empties management for site logistics as well as shipment control and tracking.

2. What problem do you solve?

We ensure transparency in supply chains and better cooperation between the various parties involved in a supply chain, while at the same time reducing costs. Myleo / dsc ensures a smooth flow of information and materials from the time the order is received from the supplier, through the handling of the loading processes at the factory, to the delivery to the recipient.
Another important issue is the shortage of skilled workers. With the help of our solution, better utilization of resources and capacity can also cope with a growing volume of trucks.

3. What are your USPs?

Our logistics platform myleo / dsc enables you to map your plant and transport logistics processes quickly and individually - including process-supporting hardware, if required. It is highly interoperable with SAP and other ERP systems and offers maximum transparency of operational logistics processes from order to delivery. With our extensive logistics expertise and experience, we always have our customers' needs in mind.

4. Provide a specific application example or success story that illustrates how your solution works in practice. 

Our customer, Villeroy & Boch, was looking for a way to optimize its transportation processes. The previous tools did not offer sufficient transparency, especially with regard to deliveries. Today, the company uses myleo / dsc with Dock & Yard Management including time slot management, carrier assignment and Track & Trace. Villeroy & Boch can now define precise time windows in cooperation with its carriers, track the transport status and optimize the processes in the yard. The visibility of outbound shipments has increased, resulting in improved delivery performance.

5. What future developments or trends do you see in the logistics industry, and how are you preparing for them as a company?

We see three trends in particular that are driving our customers and us: End-to-end visibility, automation, and data mining. We are already working on these issues with many of our customers.
To achieve true visibility across the entire logistics process, all bookings must be synchronized across all systems. The WMS and TMS should be closely linked to a yard management system (YMS). This allows follow-up processes to be triggered and information to be shared immediately based on system events.
Many yards still have great potential for automation, such as truck check-in terminals, license plate cameras and barriers, and truck scales integrated into the YMS. Even small amounts of automation can result in significant time and cost savings.
The data collected in the yard also offers significant potential for optimization. Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) can be used to analyze this data.
