Tasks of Autonomous Tugger Trains

Autonomous tugger trains consist of an autonomously driving tractor and several tugger train wagons that transport loading units independently. They serve as an internal means of transport for the ground-based transport of material from the warehouse to specific unloading points where the unit loads are required. Autonomous tugger trains can pick up the goods to be transported independently at the source. They transport the loaded material along a predefined route to the defined delivery stations, the so-called sink. Through their autonomy, the tugger trains can control several sinks on one tour. Autonomous tugger trains are particularly suitable for logistics or production, where a regular supply of parts on assembly lines is of great importance. They can be used both indoors (indoors) and outdoors (outdoors).
