Maximum Space Utilization with Low Operating Costs - Fast, Safe and Simple!

In addition to the special steel structure for the channel storage, the SSI Orbiter consists of the channel vehicle (Orbiter) and the associated docking station (also Docking Station). The docking station is equipped with a centering console and position sensors. These are inserted by a container stacker into the patented centering console of the desired rack channel. Generous entry tolerances as well as the positioning sensors prevent incorrect positioning as well as material damage and create time savings during placement. This is a major advantage, especially on the upper levels. The forklifts pick up the storage pallet and place it on the orbiter, which transports it to the next possible location in the channel. By means of fork pockets on the docking station and mechanical connections between the docking station and the orbiter, the transport of the unit by forklift truck is safe and stable at all times.
